WORKER SPOTLIGHT (brought to you by CE4AEF’s Faces of Clean Energy program)

This week, we spotlight Rex Young, senior permitting manager at Plus Power LLC. he lives in North Carolina, and he’s been part of the clean energy industry for 6 years.

He first joined the industry while in law school where he worked on pro bono projects focused on reducing pollution and improving the quality of life for urban and rural Americans alike. Rex now works to clean up the electric grid and develop battery storage projects across the country.

“Like any job, this job means income security, but it's also meaningful work. There's value in believing in what you do when you go to sleep at night. After developing these projects, I hope to leave every community better than I found it, and I'm confident I do.”
