Worker Wednesday: November 8 and Andrea Marr

WORKER SPOTLIGHT (brought to you by CE4AEF’s Faces of Clean Energy program)

This week, we spotlight Andrea Marr, a  U.S. Army veteran and #cleanenergy leader, serving as Senior Vice President of Cadmus Group.

After serving in the military for five years, Marr moved to Nicaragua, where she installed solar panels and small hydroelectric plants in rural communities without access to the national electric grid. Then, she returned to the U.S. to continue her career, working for an energy efficiency company in Seattle. In 2013, she was named a recipient of the White House Champion of Change award in recognition of her work in energy as a veteran

Andrea believes that a #cleanenergy transition is key to boosting our economy and energy security. “We are on the precipice of an unprecedented clean energy boom. Laws like the Inflation Reduction Act will accelerate the growth of clean energy through $369 billion in clean energy investments that will jumpstart manufacturing jobs and help homeowners, businesses, nonprofits, and local governments save money,” she said in an op-ed for Real Clear Energy.
