Nextracker and JM Steel Annoucement

On Friday, April 26, Nextracker and JM Steel announced the completion of a major expansion of manufacturing operations in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania. This expansion will triple the capacity, including 60 new manufacturing jobs, marking a significant milestone for the Leetsdale facility, established as a cutting-edge manufacturing hub for American-made steel production. The steel components manufactured here will be pivotal in supporting critical solar projects. With a capacity achievement of 4 GW, utility-scale solar power generation is expanding and catalyzing growth in the clean energy workforce. 

Tony Calandra, president and CEO of JENNMAR Corporation, emphasized the significance of the expansion: “This partnership with Nextracker allows for significant investment in advanced manufacturing and brings high-quality jobs back to our communities… [W]e’re proud to be contributing to the nation’s need for a secure and reliable domestic energy supply.”
